Upcoming Prayer Meeting Announcement

“Again I tell you that if two of you on earth agree about anything you ask for, it will be done for you by my Father in heaven.  For where two or three come together in my name, there I am with them.” Matthew 18: 19-20

You are warmly invited to join times of prayer on Zoom for the work of Urban Saints during November:

• Thursday 16th November from 8 to 9 pm

• Friday 17th November from 8 to 9 pm

• Saturday 18th November from 10 to 11 am.

During the prayer times we will be hearing from different members of the Urban Saints staff team as they share about their work, with opportunities for us to pray together.  

All involved with Urban Saints are invited to join the prayer times including Board members, staff team, leaders and prayer supporters.

What's your 'one thing' for young people?

We'd love you to join us in praying for young people right now. Create or find a picture that sums up the word - write the word on a bit of paper or card, draw or paint something, take a photo or find a GIF or meme. Share it on your social media pages using the hashtag #prayonething, and/or email it to media@urbansaints.org.

Prayer Requests

We have put together some key requests for prayer and would encourage you to join with us in praying for the young people across the United Kingdom and Ireland and for our ongoing ministry.

• Following the restructure of Urban Saints, please pray for those affected by the restructuring who are leaving us in the coming weeks and for blessings in whatever they do next.  Pray for wisdom for the National Leadership Team as they lead through the restructuring and for those who are staying.

• Give thanks for how God has worked through and with Crusaders/Urban Saints, especially through dedicated leaders.

• Pray for our volunteer Leaders as they continue the discipleship of the children and young people in their care. Thank God for leaders committed to sharing the love of God with children and young people.

• Please pray that our Volunteer Leaders are supported by Urban Saints in the best possible way, so that they feel encouraged and equipped to connect with the children and young people in their localities, enabling them to show God‘s love and care. 

• Pray for new connections to be made so we can identify new locations for Groups, and find new Leaders. Pray, too, for stamina for long-serving Leaders. Pray for wisdom as they lead children and young people and make plans for weekly meetings.

• Urban Saints is about people of all ages and all stages of life, so let us pray for the safety of everyone who is a part of the Urban Saints movement.

• Praise God for really encouraging early bookings for many Camps - some are already full with waiting lists!  Give thanks for our incredible volunteers who are continuing to serve faithfully despite the challenges of recent months. 

• Pray for the Easter Houseparties in Ireland - for God to be working in the lives of all who attend this Easter.

• Pray for the Sprees - pray for those involved in planning these weekends and for great relationships with our partner organisations. 

• As we look towards 2024 and many of our Camps make plans to transition to running outside Urban Saints, please pray for God to go ahead of us and for teams to be unified around decisions that need to be made. Please pray for doors to open that enable ministry to continue where that is the right option. 

• For Camps running under a more locally-led model in 2024, pray for the right mix of skills and gifts across each team to enable these to run really well. 

• Give thanks for the appointment of a new Team Leader at Westbrook, and pray that he would settle in well and gel well with the team. Do also pray that the gaps in the Westbrook calendar will be filled with new bookings soon. And please also pray for wisdom and discernment for all those involved in thinking about what Westbrook’s future could look like.

• Pray for the Additional Needs Ministry during a busy season of online and in-building training and events. Please pray for upcoming conference sessions at ‘Word Alive’ and the URC Conference, as well as work with the Methodists, Baptists, and the Church of England to improve inclusion for all children and young people. Please also pray for the Spree festival events planned for this summer, several of which will include an additional needs sensory safe space with a team providing support to anyone who needs it. Give thanks for the publications that we have the opportunity to write for, sharing the message of accessibility, inclusion and belonging for children and young people with additional needs everywhere.

• Pray for the resources team as they adjust to the new team structure. Please pray for Energize subscribers, that they would continue to feel supported during this time of transition. Pray also that Energize content would continue to equip and encourage leaders as they meet with young people.
