GUISBOROUGH ALL-NIGHTER!
The youngsters from Guisborough Urban Saints took part in an Allnighter recently. And as you can imagine, there wasn’t much sleep going on!
The young people creatively built a den out of a gazebo, added fairy lights, and net drapes and covered the floor with dog beds (new ones!) to create a ‘quiet space’.
Leader Mel shared her conversion story (at the young people’s request), as well as other exciting stories.
Rachel, one of the other leaders, made journalling kits for each young person so they could start a faith journal for themselves.
Mel showed the group her faith journal and they were taken with the “Prayers” and “Answered Prayers” sections.
The rest of the night, the group had lots of fun with an ‘escape room’, indoor hockey games and wheelchair racing. It’s not surprising that only one child went to sleep!
Mel believes that the Spirit was right in the centre of the evening, and the young people have asked to do it again!
